             Fun tutored workshop to make & embellish a heart.

           Super showcase of our members' craft and produce work.

 

21       WI Presidents & Secretaries’ Q&A, WI Office, Kendal, 10am & 1pm

            Friendly get-together where any queries or worries can be discussed.     

 

26        Federation Spring Meeting, Kendal Town Hall, 7pm

            The renamed 'Half Yearly' meeting; this year featuring Ginny Davis    Productions’ “Arrows of    Desire” a super WI comedy for us all to enjoy.

APRIL

19       Flowers, Music & Poetry, Cumbria Grand, Grange, 7pm

Not to be missed evening gala celebrating Inspirational Women.

 

25       Drama Workshop, The Box, Kendal, 7pm

            Fun evening of actor training for beginners with top tutor Hilary Pezet.

 

26       Briefing Conference, WI Office, Kendal, 10am-12noon

All the details delegates need to know about the forthcoming AGM trip plus Resolutions discussion.

MAY

17, 18 Stone Troughs, Lane Farm

           Popular session for creating these garden features. 

JUNE

1-3     Country Fest, Crooklands

          Wonderful display of members' work in the WI Marquee.

 

5-7      Federation trip to NFWI Annual Meeting in Cardiff Delegates, Observers, WI Advisers & Federation Reps travel to this national meeting. Observer tickets available to order by 31 January.

 

13       Speakers Afternoon, venue tbc

            Due to the popularity of this event it will be staged in a larger venue -

 details later.

 

28-       Federation Visit to Denman College

1 July    Places still available on fantastic courses Italian Street Food, Michele's  Little Art Course, Patchwork Bags for Fun, Sculpture - Animals for the Garden, Sound of the.

 JULY

19        Literary Lunch, The Belsfield Hotel, Windermere

Delicious food in the company of a literary speaker in the gorgeous ‘Laura Ashley’ hotel.

 

AUGUST

1-31     WI Office closed to members

             This is the month when we take a break from committee meetings and  courses - but the staff are still available to answer phone/email enquiries Tuesdays &  Fridays 9am-4pm.

 

SEPTEMBER

Various  Membership Roadshows

dates     September is traditionally Membership month. We will be coming to a   venue near you to assist in your recruitment drive.

 

13          Westmorland County Show, Crooklands

              Fantastic display of members' entries with a plethora of craft & produce.

 

21-23     CFC Short Break to Scarborough & Scampston Hall

Opportunity to enjoy a short break to the Yorkshire coast with a visit to   a country house & gardens.

    

OCTOBER

23        Annual Council Meeting, Kendal Town Hall, 10.30am-3.30pm

            All the latest news from the Federation plus excellent guest speakers.

 

28       Table Top Sale, Preston Patrick Memorial Hall

           Stall, bric-a-brac plus excellent WI food - a good morning in prospect.


29        Federation Quiz, various venues

            Our wildly popular Federation-wide pub quiz - more teams than ever!

 

DECEMBER

6          Christmas Coffee Morning, Coronation Hall, Ulverston, 9am-12noon


7          Festival of Carols, Kendal Parish Church


18        Christmas in the Office, WI Office, Kendal, 10am-12noon

            Pop in for mince pies & carols including the legendary 12 Days of   Christmas—with actions.
